VOLUNTEERING IN THE SCHOOL
City of Arusha
This big city is in a walking distance from Sanawari village where you will be staying with the host family. You can visit a Masaii Market and buy presents or have a pizza in one of the local restaurants or experience the Tanzinite museum or go swimming in a pool for a little fee and do lots of other fun stuff.
Teaching experience
Once you arrive you can choose a school you would like to choose in. We can show you a private or public school. There are major differnces in the system for example number of classrooms, the language used in school and the the methods.
We believe that a child’s future success and advancement in life is greatly influenced by their early educational experience as those who have go to school early develop an interest in education more than those who have not participated in early learning education – learning how to get along in groups, work under teacher supervision, etc. They also receive encouragement to express their feelings and ideas through building, dancing, and drawing, playing, singing and speaking. And thus, at the end of their pre-school years, they have become more competent pupils and will be more advanced in some of their abilities and be ready to master their new environment in primary and secondary education.We hope that through volunteers support we can save and give lighter through education to our children for future and other generation.

Food
The food in Africa is simple, but healthy. Lots of Rice, Vegetables, and Fish. Local fruits-specially mango, pineapple, watremelon, banana. Food will be srved to you 3 times a day.
Accommodation
As a volunteer you get your private room in the host family. You can choose to socialize with the family during the time off the school or you can stay in the room and have time to yourself.
Experiencing the host family
The host family gives you a chance to live the African life style with all the cultural differences and beauty. You will get a food 3 times a day and you can ask for help and things you need. There are there to assist you and create a loving relationship with you.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THE VOLUNTEERS
We need a volunteers to spend time with local children 4-5 hours a day, weekends off teaching Alphabet ,English, Mathematics, Science, History, Biology and more. You can choose your subjects. The volunteers should be a role model to the children and talk to them about different topics and be able to follow the academics of the school. We welcome people from various fields of Interest. You dont have to necessary be a teacher by profession to educate children inTanzania. You do have to speak enough English to be able to teach. No any other special requirement needed. The age of volunteer should be 18 and older. Also the volunteer they can help and provide books chalk, desk, uniform, pens, and any equipment which related to those provision. Help and support our local children between 3-14 years old in rural/local schools at Sanawari village.
THE COST OF THE PROGRAM IS 70$ per week, which goes directly to the host family. You have to pay all of your personal expenses including air ticket, vaccinations, travel insurance, safari trip etc. THIS IS A VOLUNTEER PROGRAM SO THERE IS NO PAY TO YOU.
